Tarek Kirschen

CEO

Tarek is a Real Estate Developer, entrepreneur and investor in South Florida. He was also an investor in Carloco and now is the majority shareholder. Tarek was appointed to the board of directors and assumed the position as Chief Operating Officer as of January 2016. With his vision for the company he will transport Carolco into the 21st century.

Jacqueline Journey

Chief Operating Officer

Jacqueline Journey is an award-winning filmmaker and television producer who has created thousands of hours of original programming that have been seen in all corners of the globe including Europe, Africa, Asia and The Pacific Rim, The Middle East, South America, and the United States. Several of these were award-winning live concerts, documentaries, series, and high profile interviews featuring Oscar winners, Grammy winners, legends, and celebrities including Matthew McConaughey, Dennis Quaid, Willie Nelson, Billy Bob Thornton, Juliette Lewis and Taylor Swift.

Ms. Journey has worked with three 24 hour music and entertainment networks: Hit Video USA (bought out by Viacom International), TMZ, The Music Zone (a partnership with TCI/Liberty) and most recently M*E Television (a partnership with Time Warner) where she was recruited as Vice President and Executive Producer.

In 2015, Ms. Journey completed her first feature film, Hidden Assets, which she wrote, directed and stared in. Hidden Assets recently screened in Cannes and was awarded BEST FILM at Florida Supercon. In addition to her years of experience behind the camera, she is an accomplished, award-winning actress, portraying Karen Stark on NBC’s Friday Night Lights, appearing in several independent films, and hosting numerous popular music and entertainment series some of which have been internationally syndicated.

Martin Fischer

President of Majority Owned Subsidiary, High Five Entertainment + Member of the Board of Directors

Martin serves as President and co-founder of High Five Entertainment. He is the guiding force in the continuing evolution behind High Five, responsible for overseeing all areas of production and development across High Five’s diverse programming slate. Martin graduated from USC’s School of Cinema in 1982 and co-founded High Five Entertainment in 1983. Over the next 10 years he produced more than 300 music videos for artists of all genres, along with commercials and short form programming. In 1994, High Five’s production of the critically acclaimed syndicated series “The Road” brought him to Nashville, where he and the rest of the HFE executive brain trust became enchanted with southern hospitality and the quality of life. Mr. Fischer continues to lead the company in the development and production of series, long form and large scale music events for a wide range of clients, including CMT, NBC, CBS, ABC, HBO, PBS, TLC, FOX SPEED Channel, VH1 and GAC. In addition to hundreds of domestic projects, he has produced numerous specials in Germany, Ireland, England and around the world. Mr. Fischer’s credit list is synonymous with High Five’s own. He’s received numerous industry awards and recognition throughout the course of his career. Mr. Fischer is a native of Munich, Germany and holds an M.F.A. degree from the world- renowned University of Southern California School of Cinema, as well as an undergraduate degree from Hampshire College. He is a board member of the W.O. Smith School of Music.

Edie Lynn Hoback

Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Producer + Majority owned subsidiary High Five Entertainment

Edie is responsible for all financial and business operations, as well as the supervision of all television productions including budget planning and analysis, staffing, scheduling and technical logistics for High Five Entertainment, a majority owned subsidiary of Carolco Pictures.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Robert “Rob” Ortiz

Rob is the industry veteran who has worked on such Academy Award winning films as Slingblade and Monster’s Ball. He is one of the most innovative producers currently working in both film and television. As the Unit Production Manager on top rated NCIS: New Orleans, as well as Co-Producer of past box office hits like Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D and Homefront, Ortiz knows how to create notable and profitable content. Ortiz joined the Board in December 2014.

Jason Goodman

The three time Lumiere Award winning Innovator of motion picture production technology, Stereographer, Director of Photography, inventor and well-known speaker, Jason is at the vanguard of modern filmmaking. He has innovated both creatively and technically, providing optical technology for the 3D cameras on Sony’s Amazing Spider-Man and bringing award winning stereoscopic motion pictures to IMAX, RealD and Discovery channel screens around the world. His most recent advancements in the fields of virtual reality and unmanned aerial cinematography are as ground breaking as they are well-documented. He routinely speaks around the world about modernization and disruptive filming techniques. Mr. Goodman joined the Board in November 2014.

Donovan J. Leitch

The son of Donovan, the world famous Scottish singer, songwriter and guitarist who is a Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Donavan J. Leitch spent his entire life in the entertainment industry. He brings to Carolco’s Board of Directors a keen understanding of all things creative and deep ties to industry leaders in film, television, music, fashion, technology, branding, hospitality, and nightlife. He joined the Board in April 2014.
